Wir sind Milk & Bread – ein kleines, leidenschaftliches Musikprojekt. Aus zwei Welten geboren:
Leichte und eingängige Melodien und Text wie ein Milchshake.
Mit frischen Ideen vergleichbar dem Duft von ofenfrischem Brot.
Kernig, würzig, nahrhaft, also auch mit Tiefgang und Aussagen, über die es sich lohnt nachzudenken.
Lass uns gemeinsam Musik genießen, Stories erzählen bei einem Milchshake und Brotkrumen der Inspiration sammeln.
Musik ist mehr als Klang – sie ist Gefühl, Hilfe, Erinnerung undenkbar nah am Herzen. Musik ist wichtig für einen tiefen Austausch, ein Erleben das Verbindung schafft.
Es ist so wichtig verbunden zu sein. Familie, Freunde, Natur. Aber die wichtigste Verbindung ist die Herzensverbindung mit dem Schöpfer. Ich staune – reinhören? Ein Song, der das zum Ausdruck bringt. Nicht verloren in diesem Universum, verbunden mit dem Schöpfer selbst. Das ist gigantisch.
Wir experimentieren gern mit Klangebenen und Musik-Tools, gehen dabei auch unkonventionelle und moderne Wege. Wir wollen unsere Gaben kultivieren. Gute Laune machen, Freude haben und uns dabei treu bleiben.
Und wir wollen ehrlich sein, auch in diesem Punkt: Aufgrund meiner Erkrankung können wir im Augenblick nicht live auftreten, hoffen aber, dass es bald möglich ist. Produzieren geht.
Unsere Songs und Blogs entstehen im Austausch – vielleicht auch bald mit dir, gib uns Feedback und Input. Vielleicht wird ein Song daraus oder ein Blogbeitrag.
Wir schreiben Songs, die sich wach anfühlen und zugleich Zeit zum Verweilen geben. In unseren Tracks verbinden sich klare Melodien mit teils ausgefallenen Arrangements.
Von eingängigen Hooks bis zu nachdenklichen Balladen – unsere Stücke decken Stimmungen ab und passen zu vielen Gelegenheiten wie Trauer oder Hochzeit, Entspannung, Verzweiflung, Freude, Anbetung.
Jeder Song ist eine Reise – manchmal sanft, manchmal energiegeladen, aber immer ehrlich und immer auf der Grundlage persönlicher Erlebnisse.
Stilvariation: Mix aus verträumten Ambient-Elementen, klaren Melodien und leichtem Lounge-Touch – je nach Song auch energiegeladenere Parts.
Atmosphäre: Gerade bei Chill & Praise hörst du warme Beats, sanfte Synths, gelegentliche Chillwave-/Downtempo-Texture.
Texturen: Übergänge zwischen ruhigen Tracks und installativen Momenten; Raum für improvisierte Elemente. Wir lieben Gitarrensolos, Saxophonklänge und e-Piano.
Café del Mar-Vibe: Sonnige Stimmung, reiche Refrains, saubere Arpeggios, klare maurische Melodien auch mit nostalgischem Feeling.
Nach und nach geben wir Einblicke in die Entstehung der Songs, die Gedanken hinter den Zeilen.

Die Texte stammen aus meiner Feder, ich bin Gabi. Ich schreibe über die Up and Downs meines Lebens. Und denke, in vielem kannst du dich wiederfinden.
Meine Texte erzählen ehrlich von meinen Schwächen, Sehnsüchte, Wünschen und auch über meine Gebete und Zeiten mit Gott. Meine Freude. Meine Zuflucht. Meine Wege und meinen Ausweg, den ich immer gehen kann. Du auch. Meine persönlichen Erlebnisse mit dem König aller Könige. Jesus.
Musik schaffen die verbindet – über Generationen, Genres und Grenzen hinweg. Musik ist vielseitig, wie wir. Ich bewundere meinen Mann, der drei Instrumente spielt. Auch meinen Schwager, der als Toningenieur arbeitet. Heidi, meine Schwägerin ist die geborene Chorleiterin.
Das Leben ist bunt, wie die Klangwelt. Es fällt uns schwer nur ein Genre zu bedienen, deshalb findest du Chill & Praise, im Stil von Cafe del Mar, unser Favorit. Auch Dream Pop, Rock, ambient music. Meist mit einem Hauch Jazz, weil die Akkorde so schön schillern.

Wir kennen die Tür und den Ausweg aus allem: Jesus Christus. Er ist das Fundament unseres Lebens. Er ist unser Vorbild und Ratgeber. Wir lernen von ihm. Diese Beziehung ist so inspirierend und voller Vibes.

We are Milk & Bread – a small, passionate music project. Born from two worlds:
Easy-to-listen melodies and lyrics, smooth and enjoyable like a milkshake.
Fresh ideas, reminiscent of the aroma of freshly baked bread.
Wholesome, flavorful, nourishing—and filled with meaning and thoughts worth reflecting on.
Let’s enjoy music together, share stories over a milkshake, and gather breadcrumbs of inspiration along the way.
Music is more than sound – it is emotion, support, memory, and something deeply connected to the heart.
Music creates meaningful exchange and experiences that build connection.
Connection matters. Family, friends, nature. But the most important connection of all is the connection of the heart with the Creator.
I stand in awe. Have a listen to one of our songs that expresses exactly that: not lost in this universe, but connected to the Creator Himself. That is truly extraordinary.
We love experimenting with different layers of sound and musical tools, often exploring unconventional and modern approaches. We want to cultivate the gifts we have been given, spread joy, have fun, and remain true to ourselves.
We also want to be honest about our current situation: due to my illness, we are unable to perform live at the moment. We hope that will change soon. For now, we continue creating and producing music.
Our songs and blog posts are created through exchange and conversation—and perhaps soon with you as well. We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas. Who knows? They might inspire a new song or a future blog post.
We write songs that feel alive and present, while still offering space to pause and reflect. Our music combines memorable melodies with creative and sometimes unexpected arrangements.
From catchy hooks to thoughtful ballads, our songs cover a wide range of emotions and suit many different occasions—grief and weddings, relaxation and despair, joy and worship.
Every song is a journey: sometimes gentle, sometimes energetic, but always honest and rooted in personal experience.

Atmosphere: Especially in our Chill & Praise tracks, you’ll hear warm beats, soft synthesizers, and touches of chillwave and downtempo textures.
Textures: Smooth transitions between reflective songs and atmospheric, almost cinematic moments, leaving room for improvisation. We love guitar solos, saxophone sounds, and electric piano.
Café del Mar Vibes: Sunny moods, rich choruses, clean arpeggios, clear Moorish-inspired melodies, and a touch of nostalgia.
Over time, we’ll take you behind the scenes and share how our songs are created and the thoughts behind the lyrics.

The lyrics come from my heart—I’m Gabi. I write about the ups and downs of life, and I believe you’ll find parts of your own story reflected in many of them.
My songs speak honestly about weaknesses, longings, hopes, dreams, prayers, and moments spent with God. They tell of my joy, my refuge, my journey, and the way out that is always available to me—and to you as well.
They are personal stories of my experiences with the King of Kings: Jesus.

I admire my husband, who plays three instruments. I also admire my brother-in-law, who works as an audio engineer. And Heidi, my sister-in-law, is a born choir director.
